Sincronías. Axel Retif
Various coincidences happened so that I could realize this recording project, or as I like to call them, moments of synchronicity; synchronicities that I can’t explain, but that created opportunities for me to grow artistically and that I would like to think were given to me for my dedication to my music. These “meaningful coincidences” began in 2018, the year in which I began my career as a composer, and culminated this year when the opportunity arose for me to select some of my works for this CD.

Creation is a group effort, this is why I would like to the musicians who were part of this project: Vincent Carver, Trio Siqueiros, Cuarteto Ruvalcaba and Ensamble Sincrónico with the direction of Uriel Rodríguez Soto, and to Magali Palomar for her management, help and support.

Lastly I would like to thank the Instituto Municipal de Arte y Cultura de Puebla (IMACP) as this CD was realized with the support of the Programa de Estímulos a la Innovación 2020.

Post scriptum:
The programmed date for the release of this recording was delayed due to events that forced me to face situations, but thanks to the guidance, support and valuable advice of Alfonso Munive and Patricia Carrasco, this album comes to light and wasn’t stopped by these obstacles on its path.

I would also like to thank Osmar Rivera who with his imagination and creativity did the graphic design and the illustration on the album cover which renovated the image to the record. Valuable lessons were learnt through the production of this album, but above all there were people who accompanied and supported me throughout these conflicts, one of these people is Frida Damián to whom this recording is dedicated.
